The purpose of this project is to demonstrate a modular, low cost, high quality, learning system to assist in teaching engineering principles as well as programing skills. To achieve these goals I will be using the NXT educational robotics system in conjunction with third party electronic sensors, National Instrument's Labview program, and eventually the Atmega microprocessor. This system will be targeted for use by high school students and college undergraduates.

Programming is behind schedule as a result of difficulties programming the inverted pendulum. I have tried many ways to balance the pendulum using labview ( Inverted Pendulum4.vi was the most successful, check uploaded files for more,) but I believe that the response time is to slow. When I tried to program in robolab the containers were giving me problems. I cannot move on to the next project without disassembling the car or getting a new kit. I will photograph the car and then later on I may build it again to attempt to program in robolab.
